It’s here.

After a very long wait, our new album The Legion of Doom vs Triune has been released! The story behind this album’s release is a long one…suffice it to say that after holding onto it for way too long, our esteemed distributor has finally (and unceremoniously) unleashed it on the world. They were going to release CDs, but they didn’t. (Digital downloads only.) They were going to do some promotion, but they didn’t. (Not a peep, even on their website.) They’ve left it up to us to get the word out.

The story behind the album itself is a better one: We made a record with Triune — prolific rap battle veteran, member of Footsoldiers, and one of the premier emcees of the Los Angeles underground. Triune brought his rhymes and one-of-a-kind delivery, and some friends (Raphi, Motoe Blizzid, HS Couture, Xhale and Addicus Brown). We brought loads of samples from old public domain film soundtracks, original instrumentation and our signature Legion beats and production. This collision of talent and styles yielded a record that is part hip-hop, part trip-hop, part indie rap, part indie rock. Strange, dark, and densely layered, this is not a typical hip-hop record.

Lakeshore made a promotional video/trailer using the song (and featuring Triune), which is included in the DVD’s special features.

The track is also featured on the Pathology Soundtrack album (get it on CD or MP3).

Under totally different circumstances, by completely different causes, at a different hosting company’s datacenter, in a different country, by sheer unfortunate coincidence, we suffered another extended outage – complete with catastrophic data loss. We apologize to everyone who came here and found nothing.

The site is now almost fully restored, but you may notice some rough spots here and there. We are working on getting everything back in order. Users who registered in recent months will probably need to re-register. Sorry!

We are (mostly) back up and running after our site was one of those taken down by the recent fire in the business district of Vancouver, which is where we were hosted (we are now on a comfy new host in Texas). The site was restored partly from an older backup, so some posts, comments, user records and other bits were lost. The Legion of Doom’s T-Virus Remix of Flyleaf’s “I’m So Sick,” from last year’s Resident Evil: Extinction soundtrack, has been used in a startling number of user-created videos.

Our favorite won the first place award for Best Music Video in the Online Machinima Film Festival earlier this month. Prolific machinimator Baron Soosdon combined World of Warcraft characters with backgrounds from Half-Life 2 and Unreal Tournament 2004, deftly edited to the Flyleaf remix to create a brilliant music video mashup. Eyes Front now available on DVD

The indie film EYES FRONT is now available on DVD from Antagonist Films.
